Village Walk
Spend a morning walking through a Cambodian village, led by somebody who lives there
Treak Village is a fifteen minute tuk-tuk ride from the centre of Siem Reap.
Though conveniently close, you will experience a way of life that is seen by very few visitors. Your tour leader is someone from the village, who will take you along village streets and pathways (some only accessible on foot or on 2 wheels). They will be able to explain the sights, and also give an insight into how the village is changing.

Rice fields, and how rice is grown in Cambodia

The village streets and lanes, the small shops, the pharmacy

A herb garden and distillery making gin from local herbs

Traditional wooden houses alongside more modern homes

Wells and water pumps

A house built by Treak Community Centre with bricks made from recycled plastic

A small farm raising ducks, frogs, rabbits and fish

Wat Athvear, an ancient temple away from the crowds, with an optional talk by the head monk

A refreshment stop at Laura's Dream, where handmade clothes are being sold
Families
Families are very welcome. Though some of the way can get a little muddy in the wet season, the route is flat and the pace is leisurely

Finishes at Laura’s Dream, our shop, where you can sit and relax after the Walk. Hot and cold drinks and snacks are available
Where your money goes
All profits from the walk support Treak Community Centre school, where around 300 children attend each day.
