Our Story
TREAK Creations is a social enterprise that supports the people of this community
Our workshop
Our workshop at Treak Community Centre trains and employs local women, who make a range of high-quality products that we sell in our shop. It therefore has two important purposes:

To provide training and decent working conditions for local women, so they can learn valuable skills, earn a living wage and support themselves and their families

To sell what is made, and so help fund the education that Treak Community Centre provides for the young people of this community. This includes early years classes, English classes, science sessions, health and wellbeing, and a well stocked library
Our shop, Laura's Dream
Conveniently located on the main road to Phnom Krom and Tonle Sap Lake our shop, Laura's Dream, is a welcoming place to drop in while exploring the area.
Refreshments are available so why not take a break and browse the wide selection of handmade products from our workshop.
Whether you are looking for a small gift, a souvenir, or simply a friendly place to pause, every visit helps support our school.
Our school, Treak Community Centre
Around 300 children attend Treak Community Centre each day.
Its twelve staff are all local Cambodians, and the classes supplement and complement the education provided by Cambodian state schools.
International volunteers also help at the school. This carefully managed contact with people from many cultures, along with the classes (and the English lessons in particular), gives students valuable life skills and a significant advantage should they wish to reach the better paid jobs in the tourism sector.
"The school receives no government funding, and most of our support comes from volunteers and donors. It is good when we as Cambodians can support each other through our own efforts, and the sale of products made by the women of this village is a big help to our school."

You are welcome to visit the shop, walk through the village with somebody who lives here, or spend three hours at a sewing machine with the women who make everything we sell.
